U19 star Yashasvi Jaiswal had a rough start to this edition’s IPL as he was dropped after a few games due to a string of failures. However, the Mumbaikar came back strong in his comeback match against PBKS as he notched up his first IPL 50 of the season to help RR chase a mammoth total of 190 at Wankhede.
Yashasvi Jaiswal was also awarded the Player of the Match for his match-winning innings. But the youngster received a special gift from his skipper Sanju Samson after his tremendous knock.
Skipper Samson promised to gift this little brother Jaiswal a new bat. A video shared by the social team of Rajasthan Royals revealed the candid conversation between Samson and Yashasvi Jaiswal.
“Don’t worry. You will have a new bat in your room tonight. For sure. Don’t worry. A gift from your elder brother. A gift from your chetta. A new bat for Yashsvi Jaiswal,” Sanju tells Jaiswal in Hindi in a video posted on Twitter by Royals.

With the win over Punjab, Rajasthan has further strengthened its position in the top four and is just one step closer to qualification. RR has not made it to the playoffs since IPL 2018. Currently, they are in third place on the points table.
