Sharma, who has played under several captains including Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Virender Sehwag, and Virat Kohli for India, and Adam Gilchrist, Harbhajan Singh, and Ricky Ponting in franchise cricket, remarked that playing under Pandya is no different from playing under any other captain.

Despite the change in leadership, Rohit Sharma has been performing well in IPL 2024, scoring 314 runs in 10 innings so far. He emphasized that his focus remains on contributing to the team’s performance, irrespective of who the captain is.

Interestingly, the roles of Sharma and Pandya will be reversed during the upcoming T20 World Cup, which begins on June 2. Sharma, who is currently playing under Pandya in MI, will return as Pandya’s captain for the important ICC competition.

Rohit Sharma insisted that switching back to captaining Pandya after playing under him would not disrupt the rhythm. He expressed confidence in his ability to adapt to different roles and situations, highlighting his resilience and commitment to the sport.
