Ravindra Jadeja may play for RCB in the next IPL

As per recent developments, Ravindra Jadeja may play RCB for IPL 2023. InsideSport reported that the organisers are looking for a window during November as the auctions have to be held after that. The auctions are likely to take place in December-January or in February.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have been one team that has always had superstars in the lineup, whose presence has lifted the group and taken them to the latter stages of the tournament. However, they have always struggled with depth and balance, and have lacked a proper all-rounder in the middle.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) former captain and India top all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja could be a perfect fit in the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) lineup given that Jadeja, not only can contribute as a frontline spinner, but also has been one of the best finishers with the bat, in recent times. Hence, RCB may have to transfer players such as David Willey or Shahbaz Ahmed.

Willey, who was a big signing in the previous auction, went on to play only four games. Shahbaz, on the other hand, was a regular starter in the team but has a similar role as Jadeja. Hence, Shahbaz might make way for a big signing. With the report that there is no contact between Ravindra Jadeja and CSK, it is likely that he would be the biggest attraction. It is almost certain that Jadeja is parting ways with the Chennai franchise.

After the IPL 2021, Jadeja and CSK have not been in touch with each other. In fact, since being removed from captaincy, Jadeja has decided to sever all connections with the franchise. He also has deleted all his CSK-related posts from his social media accounts. Jadeja was also the only player who was not part of the video that was put out by CSK to wish captain Dhoni on his birthday.

Highlights:

• Ravindra Jadeja to end his relationship with CSK.

• Jadeja may shift his base to RCB in the transfer window.
