Just days before the commencement of IPL 2022, Ravindra Jadeja was named the captain of the prestigious franchise when MS Dhoni stepped down from the role. However, Jadeja did not have a season to remember as he failed with the bat, ball, and with his leadership.

The captaincy ask was too much for the all-rounder who was already contributing in all three departments of the game. The extra burden of captaincy affected the game of the talented all-rounder. He managed to score only 116 runs and took just 5 wickets in 10 games.

Midway through the season, it was revealed that Jadeja had decided to relinquish the captaincy and give it back to MS Dhoni. Later, Jadeja was ruled out of the season due to an injury.

Since then, speculations had begun that all is not well with Jadeja and the CSK management. Jadeja had also unfollowed CSK from his socials after the IPL.

After the IPL, Ravindra Jadeja stitched an epic comeback as he scored his maiden overseas hundred against England at Birmingham in the fifth postponed test. Now, he is set to be a part of the white ball series against England.

It is to be seen what the CSK management has to say about this huge development. Till now, there have been no comments from the CSK camp.

Highlights:

• Ravindra Jadeja removes all CSK posts from his Instagram.

• Jadeja had a below-par IPL season.
