Delhi Capitals skipper Rishabh Pant, coach Pravin Amre, and other members of the DC camp were involved in a controversy during their encounter against Rajasthan Royals at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. During the penultimate over, Delhi Capitals were on the receiving end of a harsh call as a waist-high full toss was not given a no-ball by the umpire. This decision was critical for the Delhi camp as this could’ve turned the game in their favour.
Rishabh Pant was clearly not happy with this call and even asked the on-field batters Powell and Kuldeep to come back. He even sent Assistant coach Pravin Amre onto the field to have a chat with the umpires. Nevertheless, the decision was not overturned and Delhi lost the encounter in the end by 15 runs.
Now, IPL issued an advisory wherein they have announced that Delhi Capitals captain, Rishabh Pant has been fined 100 per cent of his match fee for breaching the TATA Indian Premier League’s (IPL) Code of Conduct during his team’s match against Rajasthan Royals. Pant admitted to the Level 2 offence under Article 2.7 of the IPL Code of Conduct and accepted the sanction.
Assistant coach Pravin Amre banned for one game
Delhi pacer Shardul Thakur was slapped with a fine as well for breaching the code. He has been fined 50 per cent of his match fee for breaching the TATA Indian Premier League’s (IPL) Code of Conduct.
Pravin Amre, Assistant Coach, Delhi Capitals has been fined 100 per cent of his match fee for breaching the league’s Code of Conduct during his team’s match against Rajasthan Royals at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. He will also face a one-match ban for the offence. Pravin Amre admitted to the Level 2 offence under Article 2.2 of the IPL Code of Conduct and accepted the sanction.
