The most successful IPL franchise Mumbai Indians have revealed their new IPL jersey ahead of the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The jersey was unveiled via the official Twitter handle of the franchise, sharing their new design on Saturday (March 12).
Mumbai Indians continued with Cobalt blue as their primary colour of the kit and many changes haven’t been made in the upper half either. The bottom half of the jersey has a structured design from the combination of cobalt blue and navy blue. One can also see some emblems in black colour. The golden stripes at the side are also complimenting the blue colour pretty well. As a result, MI’s new jersey design went viral in no time and fans came up with different opinions.

Can Mumbai Indians achieve their sixth title this year?
Mumbai Indians are the only IPL team that has won the prestigious tournament five times. This year they will look to take this tally to six. However, this won’t be an easy task as IPL added two new teams and the competition is now a 10-team affair.
Mumbai Indians do not have the same strength as the previous edition due to the mega auction. MI will enter into the field with a new squad. However, their core players which include the likes of skipper Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Kieren Pollard, and Suryakumar Yadav remain in the team. They also grabbed Ishan Kishan for a whopping ₹15.25 crore in the mega auction.
With the batting almost being the same, MI fans will be seeing a new bowling unit this season. They are likely to get stronger next season with the arrival of Jofra Archer as fans would be excited to see the bowling pair of Bumrah and Archer in tandem.
Mumbai Indians squad for IPL 2022: Rohit Sharma (C), Kieron Pollard, Jasprit Bumrah and Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, Dewald Brevis, Basil Thampi, Murugan Ashwin, Jaydev Unadkat, Mayank Markande, N Tilak Varma, Sanjay Yadav, Jofra Archer, Daniel Sams, Tymal Mills, Tim David, Riley Meredith, Mohammad Arshad Khan, Ramandeep Singh, Anmolpreet Singh, Rahul Buddhi, Hrithik Shokeen, Arjun Tendulkar, Aryan Juyal, Fabian Allen
