MS Dhoni, one of India’s greatest captains, has been away from the media’s attention after retirement. Dhoni is not as active on social media as he used to be in the past. Dhoni was last seen in the recent edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) where he captained Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
The former Indian skipper Dhoni always makes time for his old friends. Recently, the CSK legend attended his close friend’s birthday party after a gruelling season of the IPL.
MS Dhoni showed up at his tennis coach Surender Kumar’s birthday party. Surender Kumar also hails from Ranchi and is a good friend of the Indian legend. In a video that is doing rounds on social media, the legendary captain of the Yellow Brigade can be seen accompanying Kumar’s family members during the cake-cutting ceremony.

MS Dhoni set to return in CSK colours next year
MS Dhoni will be next seen in the IPL 2023 where he will resume his captaincy for CSK. The 40-year-old had stepped down as the captain of the Chennai Super Kings franchise in the build-up to CSK’s campaign opener against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) last season.
However, Dhoni was re-instated as the leader of the Yellow Brigade after veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja decided to relinquish CSK captaincy during the league phase of the 15th season. Four-time champions CSK finished ninth in the 10-team tournament last season. Dhoni wishes to end his IPL tenure in front of CSK’s home crowd.
