IPL 2024: RCB dismantle DC in a crucial fixture, all set for a knockout game against CSK

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), led by Faf du Plessis, have seen a spectacular turnaround in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Their victory against the Delhi Capitals (DC) marked their fifth consecutive win, a feat that has significantly boosted their chances in the playoffs race.

RCB demolishes DC

In response, DC could only manage 140 runs, resulting in a 47-run victory for RCB. Yash Dayal’s three-wicket haul ensured the Royal Challengers’ dominance in the match. The Player of the Match was awarded to C. Green for his all-round performance.

This victory has propelled Bengaluru to fifth place on the points table, with a total of 12 points and a positive net run rate of 0.387. The team’s resurgence, fueled by key players like Green and Jacks, has kept them in contention for the playoffs.

The final league match for RCB is against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), a contest that could potentially decide which team advances to the playoffs. If RCB wins this match, they could secure a spot in the top four, given that other results go their way.
