Gujarat Titans'(GT) batting duo of David Miller and Rahul Tewatia helped the side pick up a by 6 wickets in the 43rd match of the Indian Premier League(IPL) in the first clash of the doubleheader on Saturday, April 30 at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.

Earlier in the match, Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar scored the fifties at the top order as RCB posted a total of 170 for six. After winning the toss and elected to bat, RCB lost the early wicket of skipper Faf du Plessis as Pradeep Sangwan struck in the second over to mark his comeback. However, Kohli and Patidar added 99 runs for the second wicket before the latter was dismissed on 52.
Kohli soon followed him after Mohammed Shami castled him for 58. Glenn Maxwell and Mahipal Lomror played cameos of 33 and 16 as RCB managed to reach 170. Glenn Maxwell changed the momentum in the death overs by scoring 33 off 18 balls after which Mahipal Lomror smashed 16 runs off eight deliveries in the end. For GT, Sangwan took two wickets while Shami, Lockie Ferguson, Alzarri Joseph and Rashid Khan also bagged a wicket each.
Chasing a target of 171, Gujarat Titans went two wickets down early. Shubman Gill and Wriddhiman Saha had given GT a solid start before Wanindu Hasaranga dismissed the latter. Gill followed him soon after Shahbaz Ahmed dismissed him in the ninth over. After the powerplay, GT were 46 without the loss of any wicket. Gujarat Titans chased down the target with six wickets and three balls to spare. Rahul Tewatia and David Miller remained unbeaten on 43 and 39, respectively.
