Mumbai Indians have had a tough outing in the 15th edition of the cash-rich tournament. They have lost their all the previous six matches against, LSG, PBKS, RCB, KKR, RR, and DC. One of the biggest concerns for MI is the poor form of skipper Rohit Sharma and wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan. However, Suryakumar Yadav, Dewald Brevis, and Tilak Varma have been consistent performers for the five-time champions but they haven’t been able to clinch wins for the side.
Chennai Super Kings:
Chennai Super Kings are the defending champions and they are placed in the ninth spot in the points table and they have lost their last match against the new entrant Gujarat Titans. The Yellow Army has so far lost five matches – against GT, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Punjab Kings, Lucknow Super Giants, and Kolkata Knight Riders. Their sole victory came against the Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 12.

Our Prediction:
Pacers are likely to enjoy bowling here as the pitch has provided them enough bounce and pace in the last few matches. Some movement is expected with the new ball. However, as soon as the ball gets old, the batters can look to play some big shots. The dew factor also needs to be considered. MI would be eyeing to bounce back in the match and they could get away with their first win in the IPL 2022.
