Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) are set to face Mumbai Indians(MI) in the Indian Premier League(IPL) at the MCS stadium in Pune on Wednesday, April 6.
Kolkata Knight Riders:
Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) have had a decent start to the 2022 campaign. They have won two of their three games so far. The Shreyas Iyer-led side has been dominant in both the batting and bowling departments so far in the three games and they are likely to be bolstered by the return of Pat Cummins into the line-up. Shreyas Iyer has been a key player for the side as he has scored 59 runs in the three outings.
While, Umesh Yadav, who picked up a four-wicket haul in the previous game against the Punjab Kings is a player to look out for. He continued his impressive run with the ball. He is the current Purple Cap holder with eight wickets to his name.
While, Mumbai are yet to tally their first win on the points table. Mumbai have lost both the encounters so far in this season and are desperate for a win in the upcoming fixture. They have had some tough time making decisions and also the inexperience of Basil Thampi in the bowling setup hasn’t helped either.
Tim David hasn’t been impactful yet for Mumbai Indians in the cash-rich tournament either. However, the positives are Ishan Kishan and Tilak Varma who are putting up some great performances but have been of no use.
WAGING ODDS: KKR(2.05) VS MI(1.80)
MI are the favorites and are priced at 1.80, meaning if you bet ₹100 on them and if they win the match, you’ll be making ₹180.
KKR are the underdogs and priced at 2.05, meaning if you bet ₹100 on them and if they win the match, you’ll be making ₹205.
There have been some instances where teams have been able to defend scores but still the dew factor in the night fixture is crucial. Both teams having some powerful strikers are expected to score some huge runs on the board. Given KKR’s recent performances, they will be brimming with confidence and run away with a victory against MI, who are yet to open their account in the league.
Prediction: Kolkata to win the match.
