India and West Indies are set to clash in the third and final ODI match of the three-match ODI series that will be held on Friday, February 11 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The Men in Blue have sealed the series after picking up a comfortable 44-run triumph in the 2nd ODI clash.
India:
Rohit Sharma and co. tallied a comprehensive six-wicket win in the series-opener and managed to seal the series with a 2-0 lead in the 2nd ODI. They were put in to bat by the stand-in skipper Nicholas Pooran and were reduced to 43/3 despite stumper Rishabh Pant being promoted as an opener.
The limited-overs vice-captain KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav had added 91 runs for the fourth-wicket stand. The middle-order duo of Deepak Hooda and bowling all-rounder Washington Sundar’s vital knocks helped the hosts post a fighting total. The Indian bowlers resisted West Indies as young speedster Prasidh Krishna decimated the Windies batting order after bagging four wickets.
West Indies:
Speaking about West Indies, their batting order collapsed yet again and could not manage to resist the bowling offense of the hosts. They were bundled out for 193 runs. The visitors toiled hard against the Indian bowling attack. But could not resist the pressure and fell prey to the bowlers and eventually suffering a loss in the 2nd ODI.
