Former England cricketer Michael Vaughan has revealed his predictions for the four semi-finalists of the upcoming T20 World Cup, notably omitting India from his top 4 selections. Vaughan’s top four teams include England, Australia, South Africa, and West Indies.

The T20 World Cup, scheduled to begin on June 1 and end on June 29, will be co-hosted by the USA and West Indies. With all nations revealing their team squads, Vaughan expressed his views on the social media platform ‘X’, indicating his top choices for reaching the semi-finals.

The exclusion of India has come as a surprise for many, especially considering the players and the strength of the team. India released their squad for the World Cup with some exciting names to look forward to. The inclusion of players like Shivam Dube, Sanju Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal and the returning Rishabh Pant could do great damage considering their extraordinary ball-striking abilities, not to forget the likes of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav.

However, Michael Vaughan seems unsure about the team making it far in the upcoming edition of the tournament. In the previous edition of the tournament, India was knocked out by the eventual champions, England in the semi-finals. Chasing a target of 169 runs set by India, Jos Buttler and Jason Roy guided their team to victory without the loss of a wicket.

Michael Vaughan’s decision to exclude India from his list was met with approval from Indian fans, who appreciated the departure from tradition, as they believed that whenever Vaughan endorsed India for a top 4 spot, the team tended to falter, often unable to progress beyond the semi-finals or finals of the tournament.
