Delhi Capitals head coach is hopeful

Delhi Capitals in a X(formerly twitter) video also prompted the reunion of the two Aussies Meg Lanning and Annabel Sutherland after the former announced her retirement from international cricket last month.

Jonathan Batty, Delhi Capitals head coach, expressed his contentment praising Sutherland for her skills. He went on saying, “She was our number one target all the way through. We identified her multiple skill sets; she is an outstanding batter, one of the leading wicket-takers in the WBBL recently, and was the best all-rounder in the competition last year. She has got leadership qualities as well and is a gun fielder. We are very happy we have got her.”

Though Sutherland’s inclusion in the side has left many cricket fans stunned, her presence has now made this side even more formidable and will be a team to beat in the next edition of the WPL, which is scheduled to be held in the months of February and March, 2024.
